Cleaning Brushes or Studying?

Hey all! An update for this week. It’s been hectic, good, bad, stressful, everything! But regardless, the week is almost over and I’m happy to see some friends and hopefullyYouTube this weekend. I have tons of tests, assignments and other things to hand in for this week yet again, but I hope to survive it. I also would like to wish you all the best in your mid-terms and luck with any assignments, labs and coursework.

I recently posted a video on cleaning make up brushes. It took forever to upload and after many aborts and upload fails, it’s finally there. So be sure to check it out and tell me what you think. Do you clean your brushes or do you just be lazy about it, like I sometimes am?

I promised to do the fall-trends make up look from Seventeen magazine, and I will definitely get on that this weekend. If you don’t see that video sometime this week or next week, you have all rights to scold me, beacuase a promise is a promise.

So, I think that’s all I really had to say in this post. My brain is kind of fried hahaha.

October Special!! ~Asian Candy~

Hey all! * throws candy corn and black liquorice* It’s October!! You know what that means! It’s gonna be my birthday soon! Not only that but, the Asian candy for this month will be twice as nice! Free goodies for everybody! Especially the October babies! Happy Birthday to all the October borns!!

These would have been Horror movies in honour of Halloween, but I don’t particularly watch Horror dramas lolol. Anyway, these are still great dramas to watch during this month!

Trick or Treat?  Muahahahaha

Full House
Type: Comedy, Romance
Country: South Korea

Storyline:
Han Ji Eun played by Song Hye Gyo is naive and cheerful, although she is somewhat of a recluse writer. She is swindled out of everything she owns, not by strangers, but her best friends!
Ji Eun is in China but, she is determined to get home with the help of an actor, Lee Young Jae (Bi/ Rain). She borrows money from him after coming up with a clever lie and plans to pay him back after landing in Korea, only to find that all which is precious to her has been sold by her best friends!
In an attempt to get her possessions back, Ji Eun has entered in a contract marriage with Young Jae for one year…..
My Opinion: Worth the watch. It’s a sweet love story between the two characters. I like how their feelings grow for each other and how Ji Eun is strong until the end. Bi is soooo hot! hahaha. I on’t want to say too much about this drama because I really dislike spoilers, and I’d hate to ruin it for anyone.
Absolute Boyfriend (Zettai Kareshi)
Type: Comedy, Romance, Science Fiction
Country: Japan
Storyline:
Izawa Riko is a temporary worker in search of a boyfriend, and she ends up in possession of a “robot” known as Night Tenjo, who is programmed to be the perfect boyfriend. However, this creates a love triangle with a distinguished young man at her company who has feelings for her. How will this story end?
My Opinion:
I remember watching this and crying at some parts (yes crying, it was so sad at that part). Tenjo is so naive haha, it’s hilarious some of the things he randomly blurts out. As for the Riko-chan, she kinda annoyed me by being so mean to Tenjo, I mean he is a robot, but.. come on, he just wanted the best for her. The other male protagonist, I actually can’t remember. But he’s good-looking! I think he was also in Hana Kimi or Hana Yori Dango… one of those Hanas. Another good one to watch and one of my favourites. Yes it’s not so recent, but some old things are pretty good lol.

Hope you enjoy these, and Happy October!

Leighton Meester’s Wonderstruck Tutorial!

Hey all! Finally I’ve been able to film Leighton Meester’s look from the Lovestruck by Vera Wang advertisement. Let me just say this, the ad was very pretty and girly, with romantic stylings, befitting the title of the new fragrance. Leighton wore a beautiful burgundy strapless dress with a mermaid-styled skirt. I’m not sure if the dress was taffeta, chiffon or organza, but it was very pretty an flowy and the styling reminded me of Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl (the show that made me love Meester so much). I’m sure like many other people who watch the show, we were hoping that the main guy was Ed Westwick, but oh well.

For make up, Meester wore a soft rose colour on her lid and a deepened crease but nothing too dramatic. Her eyeliner was applied lightly and smudged into her lashline and her eyelashes were very long, maybe a demi wispy were added in at the corners for that flirty look. For her lips, a deep red-berry colour was used and it looked semi matte.

I attempted to recreate the lipcolour because I do not have anything that deep in my collection. I used the e.l.f. conditioning lipbalm in Romantic Rouge and NYX Diamond Sparkle lipgloss in Pink Sparkle.
I enjoyed doing this look and hope I’ve gotten as close to the look as possible. ^__^

There are no pics of this look because I hadn’t been able to take good ones with the camcorder, and I’m not sure where my sister put her camera, so please excuse that. However I did take snapshots of the ad for reference, so I place them in this post.
