November again and Barbados turns 46!

Hey all! I’ve done a post on this last year, but my beautiful island (Barbados) is going to be independent for 46 years as of 2012! I hope all you Bajans out there are being patriotic especially this month!

I love it that my island puts up decorations and special lights just to celebrate, despite the decreasing number of patriots these days. Furthermore, I’ve seen Christmas displays up in some stores and honestly, although you want to encourage people to shop for Christmas, why can’t you wait until mid-way through November to put those displays out (seen some from the beginning of November). It’s very disrespectful to our National Independence, and please do not start me on who commercial and meaningless Christmas has also become.

Regardless, I’d like to thank God for letting our island see another year going strong, despite financial crisis and all that is wrong with the world these days. I also have a video planned celebrating our independence, but until then, you can read this post if you know nothing about Barbados’ Inpedence, or if you just want to brush up on your knowledge.

Happy 45th Independence!

For those Bajans out there, are you goign to be attending the Independence parade? If I go would you like to see a vlog? Or who you rather see a Barbados-inspired make up look?
