Break from posts for the week

Hi everyone! I am going to be taking a break this week from my regular posts to catch up with all the lovely blogs I follow as well as to check out some new blogs I’ve found on the blog hops I’ve been taking part in. I also will be catching up on YouTube. So basically, it’ll just be a vacation week so I can recuperate, collect my thoughts and get back to interacting with other bloggers.

I already have a post for today up which is just a haul, but there will be no more posts until Saturday, where I’ll show you pics from my 2 year anniversary :). I’ll still be replying to comments and such, so if you want to leave your blog or YouTube links, feel free to do so. (I may not follow everyone back though, just a quick disclaimer)

I wasn’t lost.. just very busy

Hey all! It’s been like 8 days since my last post. Seems like a lifetime. I hadn’t even the chance to write you a Lazy Sunday post :(. Nonetheless, I promise I won’t be letting that happen again, at least not without prior warning.

I’ve been out and about since  last week, not even a chance to schedule posts or edit videos. I am trying to put together a Back to School series for my YouTube channel though along with some fall fashion posts for this blog. I tried filming today, but I’m really not sure if I liked the lighting, however, when I come to edit them this eening, I’ll decide if I should refilm them.

I’ve actually been busy with a huge project, not school-related luckily (school doesn’t start until September thank God!). But somethign for a friend. I can’t say too much on it as yet, but I assure you you will either hear more or see more about it later, so keep your eyes peeled!

The contest winner has replied to my email and her prize will be sent out very soon. I thank you all for entering and suggesting more things for me to do on my channel. I will be looking into a few of them. Especially the outfits ones, I have to find somewhere to film those first, as my tripod is very tiny as, is my room along with the clutter hahah.

Once again people are leaving and heading back to their respective countries of study, sad but I can’t wait until next summer to see them again. I felt like we went out or visited each other a lot, but still not enough. So as Summer 2012 closes I have high hopes for next year, and even the remainder of this year.

As a student, it always feels like the year is ending as summer ends, doesn’t it? Anything interesting happen to you this summer? Or did you lounge around at home all day just relaxing? Were you able to use your time wisely or did something like a job or opportunity take up some of your time and kept you busy?

Oh How I’ve missed you!

Hey all! I’ve missed you guys sooo much! I’m so glad to be back! I am definitely more suited to blogging, beauty and science, than politics hahaha (for right now at least). It’s a tough scene, but I’m happy with the experience even if I didn’t win the post. I guess it brought about some realisations to me.

Being too professional often takes a lot from your personality and I definitely would not like to lose all of me inorder to succeed in something as unstable as politics. I also need to improve on my own confidence in order to be more outspoken and hopefully I can do this starting with my YouTube videos.

Anyway, this is just a quick update post. Hopefully videos should be back soon. I know I said I would have done a February faves and an Asian Candy for MArch, and I’m so sorry, but things just piled up and I barely saw my blog. I actually had a video from Valentine’s Day to post as an extra for you guys. So I’ll probably work on that this weekend when there’s “less” to be done hahahaha. The work never truly ends.

How have you guys been keeping? I can’t say enough on how much I missed blogging and my YouTube. Though, I have been sneaking on to Youtube and Blogger in free moments to catch a vid or post hehehe.

It’s really great to be back!

Quick question. Do you think I should post my videos and blog posts to my facebook? I usually do to my twitter, but to expand my audience I was contemplating it.

Oh yes! I’ve finally reached 200 subscribers! I have somethign special planned, thanks a lot to Ashley also for the splendid idea :).

Representative Democracy? Elections? Hiatus?

Hey all! As you might be wondering by the title, this post is not to say that I’ve changed my major or turning this blog in a political one, but I do have some good news! It could also be considered bad news in a sense.

I am going to be running as a candidate for my university’s upcoming generation elections, contesting the position of Pure & Applied Science Representative for 2012-2013. I had been contemplating this decision since last year’s elections and I’m still a bit shocked at myself for carrying through with it. I do intend to stay committed to the race for the candidacy as this may build my leadership and I may finally be able to make the difference in my faculty (FPAS).

I’d like to ask for you support at this time, because I may not be blogging or making videos as ofetn during the campaigning process. If you had not already realised, I was on a bit of an unannounced hiatus. The elections will be occurring in March, and I’d like to dedicate some time to campaigning, as well as my schoolwork.

 Hopefully my regular beauty posts, shall resume by the end of March, though I may blog ahead my favourites of February and the Asian Candy for March.

I will be creating a Facebook page for the campaign so you can follow it there if you’d like. The key incentives are Brotherhood, Honesty and Perseverance. I would like to unite my faculty to face the hardships of being a scientist and help them to realise that greatness can be achieved together.
