30 Day Song Challenge 25-30! Final DAYS!

Finally, I’m at the end of this series, it took me forever, I’m sorry, but I hope you enjoyed it!

Day 25: A song that makes you laugh
For Trinidad Carnival 2011, there was this song called “Wine to the Side” and the story told by Benji is hilarious. I cannot help singing, dancing and laughing along with this song.

Another one is actually from Barbados, Crop Over 2011 “I carry my Sheep in Town”. Totally hilarious story, the guy (Stiffy) didn’t know his girl friend was a sheep! HAHAHAHA!

Day 26: A song that you can play on an instrument
I can actually play piano, but I don’t know any really fun songs. I can play parts of Asian drama themes and I know a bit of classical music that I had learnt for exams. This classical piece is one of my favourites.

Day 27: A song that you wish you could play

I always wished I could play Alicia Keys’ “No One”. I had actually started to learn it, but it’s pretty hard, or I’m a noob.

Day 28: A song that makes you feel guilty
I think this is a hilarious question actually. I had to think hard on this one. I don’t think is this all the relatable to me, but I really like Rihanna’s “Unfaithful”.

Day 29: A song from your childhood
I remember the days of Primary school dancehalls and hearing this, Lil Rick’s “Dollar Wine”.

Day 30: Your favourite song at this time last year
There’s a lot of Lil Rick mentioned in these song posts, and here’s another one to add to that list. “guh Down” by Lil Rick.

30 Day Song Challenge 20- 24

Day 20: A song that you listen to when you’re angry

I really can’t think of many songs when I get angry, but I’ll choose “Ring the Alarm” by Beyonce because it’s just one of those angry songs. Strangely enough Beyonce has tons of these angry woman songs hahah.
Day 21: A song that you listen to when you’re happy
“Lollipop” by Mika Bomb, that’s as much as I can say. When you hear it, you’ll understand.
Day 22: A song that you listen to when you’re sad
“Invisible Man” by Son Dam Bi. It’s a song of how she feels without him in her life because he is Love. The song is slow and beautiful, I can’t help but to listen to it when I’m sad and sing/hum along.

In coffee it’s sugar
And with computers, it’s keyboards
When it rains, it’s umbrellas
And to me, it’s you

Day 23: A song that you want to play at your wedding
This is actually really hard, there are plenty of songs I’d probably want to hear on my wedding day, and by the time I actually get married there’ll be tons more. At the moment, I’m loving “Love Song” by Adele. It’s so sweet 🙂
Day 24: A song that you want to play at your funeral
I would like to play “Any Other World” by Mika Bomb at my funeral because it is a reflective solemn song and I think you could listen to it with hope.

30 Day Song Challenge 15- 19

Goodness me, I completely forgot this… So I will try to finish it as quickly as possible. 4 or more songs a days sounds good to finish this up.

Day 15: A song that describes you
A song which describes me, that’s hard because I don’t exactly know how to describe myself. Ke$ha’s “We R who We R” will have to suffice. That’s really fun too, because I got Jesus on my neck-a-lace and that glitter on my eye!

Day 16: A song that you used to love but now hate
I remember when I was younger and really like Kissed by a Rose by Seal, then as I got older I realised I really didn’t like the lyrics. They really sucked to me. The beat is still nice and I can still find myself singing it. But I actually don’t like this song.

Day 17: A song that you hear often on the radio

Since it is currently Crop Over in Barbados, this would have to be WORK by Lil Rick. The song speaks for itself, it’s addictive and I understand why they play it so often.

Day 18: A song that you wish you heard on the radio
Ring Ding Ding by SHINee, but the only way it’s hear that is if I was in some Asian country like korea, because they’re a South Korean Boy band. This song is so addictive as is the dance.

Day 19: A song from your favorite album

Definitely a Lady Gaga song from her second album, the Fame Monster, TELEPHONE! I absolutely love that, I could see myself playing that if I were annoyed and getting super happy afterwards because it’s about something bad (being ignored) but it’s very funny the way she points out to him that she just doesn’t want to talk, she’s busy doing things that make her happy such as dancing.

30 Day Song Challenge Day 11, 12, 13 & 14

Hello again! I’m back to this song challenge… I really forgot this time haha.

Day 11: A song from your favourite band
I really don’t have a favourite band as I don’t follow bands really. But of those I do know, I guess I could count the Black Eyed Peas in the Top 5. I’m going to choose, “My Humps”.

Day 12: A song from a band you hate
I don’t have a hated band either so I really can’t put anything for this one. (I don’t really follow bands hahaha)
Day 13: A song that is a guilty pleasure
I was definitely waiting for this question as I wanted to post this song from the start, “S & M” from Barbadian singer (woop woop) Rihanna!! I love how she defies everything with this song!
Day 14: A song that no one would expect you to love
This would have to be “Jim Screechie” by Spice there are other dancehall/ dub songs that I like, but none rings out as loud as this.
I like “100 Stab” by  Aidonia, as well as “Slow Motion” by Vybz Kartel.
Thanks all for this post!
XOXO

30 Day Song Challenge- Day 7 & 8

Another day some more songs… I have so forgotten this already HAHAHA.

Day 07: A song that reminds you of a certain event

Reminds me of an event… hmmm. I think I’d choose Higher than High by Machel Montano because it reminds me of the days when I used to play steel pan with my school band and that song was one of the most fun ones I remember. We went to many events and played that song and I just remember always having a blast.

Day 08: A song that you know all the words to

Ok so there would be tons of songs in this category because I always like to look up the lyrics to songs I’m currently liking. But for this one, I’ll put one of my favourite Lady GAGA (woooot) songs :). Enjoy PAPARAZZI!

30 Day Song Challenge- Day 3 & 4

Here’s today’s two songs! (Would have had them up earlier, but I had to study..    -__-)

Day 03: A song that makes you happy

This would have to be Gee by SNSD (Girls’ Generation), it’s really catchy and bouncy. And although it’s in korean, I know some of the words hehe and mumble, sing and dance along. It is definitely a sugar-coated song, the theme behind it is the typical love story, girl likes boy. You can listen to it here and read more on the lyrics below the video.

Day 04: A song that makes you sad

Seems like I’m into the Asian songs in this post, but it’s because I like to be diverse with my cultures and music, I actually have three songs for this category. The first song is from the “Fated To Love You” song track, this was the first really sad/ dramatic Asian drama (Taiwanese) I had watched and was actually quite funny at the same time. I don’t know how they did it, but I loved it immensely. This is “Wo De Kuai Le”, english name “My Happiness” by Walkie Talkie (Jin Xiu Er Chong Chang). I actually do know ALL of the words to this, strange I know, but again I really love this song. I tried to play the piano to this and being that I’m such a bum, it was pretty hard, but there are lots of covers on YouTube of it. Do enjoy!

The Next two songs are from the same drama, and this one was sadder from the first, I’m glad I watched this one after FTLY because it was a good transition into the saddest show that I have ever watched. I am currently watching “I’m Sorry, I love you”, but that is the topic of another post. The drama I am talking about is “Autumn’s Concerto” also known as “Next Stop Happiness”, it is really a touching story. Anyway, the first song from this drama that I fell in love with was one of the opening songs “Wo Ai Ta” by Della Ding. I find It strange how FTLY had a similarly named song, but they were completely different years and i’m sure ideas have clashed many times in the entertainment industry. This song is very deep, you feel every emotion although it is not in English, which is a lot for a song to do, it gets its point across well. Once again I know the lyrics to this too hahaha, but I’m sure after you hear it you’d want to know them as well.

This final song is also from Autumn’s Concerto, “Wo yi wei” by Victor Huang. I do not all the words to this one but I definitely understand the sentiment. This song puts my in a mood of solemness and deep thought. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

That’s it for this post, maybe another in the next two days or so, depends on how studying goes.

Here are today’s songs:
Day 01: Your favourite song

Currently, I’ve been loving a lot of songs, but compared to all of the rest, I find myself waking up to this and remembering through the day. It seems to keep me peppy and happy, surprisingly. Of course I don’t know all of the words, nor do I use the F- word as he does in this video and wished that the music video had the clean version, but it’s still a great song over all. Definitely a pick you up when you’re feeling down. Singing along and dancing! The Glee version of this is amazing too. I love them both!

Day 02: Your least favourite song
Um.. My least favourite song, I don’t really think I have one of those on my list, but I will put on of my favourites.I’m very attached to my favourite songs so, I don’t thing I could but one that I like more than the other, they all have different meanings to me. Rude Boy by Rihanna! BARBADOS REPRESENT!! This is really a fun and sexy song, and I love it. Enough said hahaha.

XOXO

Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday!

Hey guys, it’s Friday I’m so excited… the weekend is here finally~ ^_^. I recently found out about this girl called Rebecca Black, one of the new hot topics of twitter, the internet and the world I guess. My friend told me about the song and I decided to take a listen. It was.. uh, pretty lame, but so lame I couldn’t help to find it funny, and strangely the lyrics are stuck inside of my head. I do believe that Rebecca Black could sing really well if only they hadn’t auto-tuned her and given her such a horrid song to sing, so I’m looking forward too more from her. Hopefully she learns from the first song, although it is getting a lot of publicity, that she needs to come better and show her true talent.
Take a listen of her song here:
